this is kinda where I am too - given that this is the only song pete had said they would likely never play, I can’t imagine patrick would play it without checking in with him first. like you said, it would be kinder. and if you’re right and PETE is the one who wanted him to play it…. (I definitely agree with that theory too of him requesting piano songs that wouldn’t be 8 balls) that unlocks even more thoughts and emotions about this.
